It was a warm summer evening and Ed and Ein were lounging on the roof of the old warehouse they called home. They had been tinkering with their latest project, a robot that could play fetch with a tennis ball, but they had hit a roadblock and decided to take a break.

Ed pulled out a small bag of weed from her pocket and grinned at Ein. "Feeling up for a little experiment, buddy?" she asked, winking. Ein barked excitedly and wagged his tail.

Ed carefully packed a pipe and lit it, taking a deep hit. She held it in for a moment, then exhaled a thick cloud of smoke. "Whoa," she said, giggling. "This stuff is strong."

Ein sniffed the air and cocked his head to the side. Ed offered him the pipe and he took a tentative lick of the smoldering weed. His eyes grew wide and he began to pant heavily.

Ed and Ein spent the next hour laying on the roof, watching the stars and giggling at the absurdity of their robot fetching the tennis ball over and over. They were completely lost in their own little world, completely oblivious to the world around them.

As the effects of the weed began to wear off, Ed and Ein slowly came back to reality. They looked at each other and burst out laughing, feeling light and happy. It was moments like these that they lived for, free from the constraints of the world and lost in their own little universe.
